Having now collected all the assets needed in order to cover the bases that I wanted for the abstract landscapes compositions with the last group being the non-descript personal portraits of my hands in order to tie myself into the work and highlight the personal nature and perspective of the work as a whole.
To prep for this, I separated all the assets into different folders and set up a storage location where the assets would serve as a sort of library that I would be able to search through and select each asset that I would bring into Photoshop ready for layering and blending into the compositions.
I then began to go through all of the assets I had just to observe and ponder what I had available, what kind of weights and tones were there, what kind of textures did I have, and what kind of constructs would I be able to utilise. I also began to start combing or bookmarking assets that I felt would be good starting points to build upon or would work well together either on the thematic basis of contrast or juxtaposition or on a more technical basis on composition or form that once blended might produce some interesting effects.
